Vitamin B rich red cabbage side dish

- 1 red cabbage
- half red onion
- 2 sweet apples
- 6 allspice berries, lightly crushed, wrapped in cheesecloth and tied
- salt and black pepper
- 85ml red wine
- 85ml red wine vinegar
- 65ml molasses or cane syrup
